Kensho MCP Apps: Visualize, explore, and interact with S&P Global data inside AI applications
Kensho MCP Apps embed interactive S&P Global charts, tables, and visualizations inside AI chat interfaces like Claude and ChatGPT, turning static AI responses into live, explorable financial research.
More and more research is taking place in AI applications today. An analyst preparing for a meeting can ask about a company's latest quarter or a competitor's M&A history, and get fast, accurate answers in seconds. But getting the answer is only part of the job. Analysts still need to put that information into a spreadsheet, a chart, a deck to actually work with it or compare it.
Kensho MCP Apps eliminate that extra step, making S&P Global’s trusted data, analytics, and research more useful and powerful to the researchers and analysts who rely on them, within the tools they use including Claude, ChatGPT, and more. These embedded applications turn S&P Global intelligence into interactive tearsheets, financials, valuation tables, M&A timelines, price charts, and more, right alongside the agent's response. Analysts can keep gaining deeper insights, exploring, filtering, and following threads without needing to re-prompt the agent or leave the chat.
The result is research that's faster, richer, and more intuitive. Instead of just reading the answer or iterating through a series of text exchanges, analysts can see the data, manipulate it, and ask the questions about it, all in one seamless flow. Customers get the same auditable S&P Global data they rely on every day, now delivered through a rich, interactive experience inside the AI applications they already use.
Here's a preview of some of the workflows enabled by Kensho MCP Apps, which are now available in beta for select customers:
Company Intelligence: Interactive tearsheets that bring together company information, financials, market intelligence, estimates, news, and research.
Financials & Valuation: Income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow tables with period-switching; valuation multiples with peer comparison; and business and geographic segment breakdowns with period-over-period views.
Market Data: Interactive historical price and trading charts with analyst-chosen date ranges, for interrogating moves and volume spikes collaboratively with an agent.
S&P Global intelligence, wherever work happens
At Kensho, we're focused on making S&P Global's trusted intelligence accessible across the AI ecosystem by building the foundational data retrieval layer allowing customers to access our data in the AI applications they use every day. The Kensho LLM-ready API is core to this work, providing deterministic, API-driven access to an expanding range of S&P Global datasets.
Kensho MCP Apps build on this foundation, ensuring S&P Global customers can use our trusted data in increasingly sophisticated, seamless ways that unlock even more value. The skills and plugins we've built for agents like Claude Cowork give customers repeatable, structured agentic workflows built on S&P Global data. MCP Apps takes this even further, transforming AI chat from a place where customers receive S&P Global data into a place where they can actively work with it.
Kensho MCP Apps are currently in beta, available to select customers. We're working closely with early testers to refine this emerging technology and help our customers unlock even greater value from the Kensho LLM-ready API.
We’ll continue to share more as we enhance these experiences and launch additional MCP Apps in the coming months, all built on an open standard released in January. For Kensho LLM-ready API customers interested in beta access to this capability for your AI workflows, please reach out to us at commercial@kensho.com.
