Kensho LLM-ready API adds Key Developments and Professionals datasets
Kensho LLM-ready API – our deterministic retrieval solution – expands coverage with S&P Capital IQ Professionals and Key Developments datasets, bringing global executive data and structured event intelligence into AI-driven workflows.
We’re excited to announce support for two new highly anticipated datasets for Kensho LLM-ready API customers: S&P Capital IQ Professionals and Key Developments.
Both datasets join the Kensho LLM-ready API’s growing catalog of S&P Global data available for financial analysis, company research, and much more, all within your AI application of choice. Our deterministic retrieval solution gives customers API-driven access to reliable S&P Global data within LLMs and agent-based workflows. We use function calling to surface our API directly to client LLMs without adding additional layers of AI agents to the data retrieval process.
Bringing global professional intelligence to AI workflows
The S&P Capital IQ Professionals dataset offers detailed individual profiles for public and private company executives, board members, and investment professionals globally. Customers can access biographies, board & company affiliations, education, compensation, options holdings, standardized job functions, titles, and full committee memberships.
The dataset includes detailed profiles for more than six million active professionals, with history and compensation data for public companies dating back to 1992. It also delivers intelligence on more than 30 million professionals from SMEs (Small and Medium-sized private companies within the S&P Capital IQ European SME universe), including unique person identifiers, officer and director roles, and detailed job function data. Identifier data including standardized job titles, seniority rankings, and "Key Executive" flags make it straightforward to identify primary decision-makers across organizations.
The Professionals dataset enables a wide range of powerful AI-driven use cases. Kensho LLM-ready API customers can easily profile management teams during due diligence, map company and board relationships, detail compensation packages, or quickly surface the right point of contact within a target organization.
Powering AI research with daily news and event data
The Key Developments dataset provides structured summaries of material news and events that may impact the market value of securities. Kensho LLM-ready API customers can now surface and analyze relevant news and developments directly inside AI applications, leveraging this data to power research and analysis, derive trading signals, and support trading models. Analysts, portfolio managers, and compliance teams can now ask natural language questions to uncover what's driving a company or sector.
Key Developments delivers over 2,000 structured events daily from more than 20,000 news sources. Event types include dividends, M&A, buybacks, public offerings, management changes, debt defaults, regulatory agency inquiries, and more. Coverage spans both public and private companies worldwide.
Continued data expansion
As with previous data releases, Kensho LLM-ready API customers can access Key Developments and Professionals data individually or as part of a larger package of AI-ready S&P Global datasets. These datasets are available through all integrated third-party platforms, including Claude and ChatGPT. Check out our documentation for the most up-to-date list. The API can be integrated into LLM workflows using the standard Model Context Protocol (MCP) or custom integrations facilitated by our open-source Python library.
We're excited to see what customers build with Key Developments and Professionals data inside their AI applications. Stay tuned for more dataset onboarding and feature updates throughout the year.
